While the educational system is drastically transforming due to the Covid-19 pandemic; what are the alternations you have introduced in the existing teaching-learning structure?

The pandemic has undoubtedly affected not only the financial aspects but also teaching methodologies in a big way. The outbreak of this pandemic has demanded of the institution to foray into virtual learning mode; it has forced us to bring our courses online. This is just one breakthrough in a new educational paradigm.

Accepting the change, the NITHM campus has been training the faculty and non teaching staff for the adaptation of new technologies to serve their students better even in the adverse conditions.

Right now, video-conferencing applications like  Google meet, Webex, Skype, Youtube Live, Facebook Live, Skype, Blackboard, Cisco Webex, Vimeo Livestream, are providing the college a lifeline. However, lecturers are still struggling to maintain the same depth of engagement with students they could have in a classroom setting. The focus is to impart quality education so new teaching methodologies are being tried to engage the students.

Webinar series involving Industrial personalities, alumni and other entrepreneurs have been organized to motivate the students to face the challenges and to equip them to fight the adverse condition.

What are your plans to explore and expand the institute in future?

NITHM aspire to instill necessary pep and zeal among the students and trainees to help develop a flair for management education and augmenting the pool of human resources sub-serving Tourism and Hospitality divisions by rolling out well groomed multi skilled masters who continuously seek to improve the relevance and quality to meet the industry needs and through interface to all sectors and facets of human endeavor.
